Carnival procession

Despite heavy rain and blustery wind, crowds still turned out to watch the Carnival Procession, with a theme of Heroes and Villains.  Somewhat bedraggled the floats, majorettes, bands and all the Marshalls became the Heroes of the Day with the weather, the Villain!

Surprisingly a total of £2725.50 was collected on the day, less than half the amount we normally collect, in good weather.

Thanks to everyone who turned out in the appalling weather to support us and the two Charities; The Clacton and District Occupational Workshop and the Special Autistic Support Group.

Carnival Procession date 2009 is Saturday 8^th August.
