SEARCH FOR A CARNIVAL QUEEN

Clacton Carnival Association is looking for a Carnival Queen and two Princesses to represent Clacton for Carnival 2009.

 The Selection and Crowning will take place at a Disco at The Kingscliff Hotel, Kings Parade, Holland on Sea on Friday 3^rd April at 7.30 p.m.  Tickets are priced at Adults £3.50, under 16's - £2.00 and contestants are free.  All under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.  The Disco is by Roger's Roadshow.

All entrants must have permanent residence within 3 miles of Clacton Pier. Entrants for the Carnival Queen must be over 16 on 3rd April 2009 and entrants for the Carnival Princesses must be over 10 and under 16 on 3^rd April 2009.  They must be able to attend events during Carnival Week (8th – 14th August) and to attend a number of other Carnivals between June and September.

The girl selected as Carnival Queen will receive £150 and the two Princesses will win £75 each.
